AS starts to the season go, it could not have gone much worse…
A 3-0 defeat and ending the game with 10 men was not the way in which Ian Watson will have envisioned his first game in EFL management, but it demonstrated to him and everyone associated with Rochdale AFC the scale of the task ahead.
It was always going to take time and patience, but this was an inauspicious start.
