Everything seemed to be set up…
Fans turning out in their numbers, a refreshed look to the ground, news of the long-awaited training ground taking another step forward and the sun came out to boot.
All that was needed was for Rochdale to do their bit. Alas, they didn’t.
In many ways, this was more frustrating than last week’s debacle at Newport in that there were baby steps forward in certain areas, but football is ultimately a results business.
