THE first day of the season – a time at which, in theory at least, a squad should be at its strongest.
For Rochdale, however, that is far from the case following a difficult pre-season on the injury front. Dale travel to Newport County on Saturday for their first EFL game in more than three years knowing that they will definitely be without at least four first-team stars, including two of their new signings.
