HAVING been a regular source of goals in a relegated team, nobody could have blamed Devante Rodney for wanting to move on.
Indeed, he could well have done so after a Rochdale side he had netted 11 times for dropped out of the Football League with a whimper back in May 2023.
But even after just one season, a bond had been formed. The nomadic forward had found the home he craved.
As such, there was never a question in his mind that he wanted to be part of the club’s rebirth.
