THE fact a growing number of Premier League clubs are happy for their young players to spent some of their formative years at Rochdale can only be a good thing.
Aston Villa have now become the latest top-flight giant to entrust The Dale with one of their talents, with Kane Taylor having penned a loan deal until January.
The tally of Premier League loan players in the squad now rises to three as midfielder Taylor joins goalkeeper Nils Ramming (Brighton) and defender Kaiden Wilson (Chelsea).
And for manager Ian Watson, Taylor’s arrival is timely for as a player, he fits the kind of profile that the squad desperately needs.
