THE transfer window is now closed, and Rochdale must now go with what they have until January at the earliest.

Having had the freedom to sign players as and when they wished in the National League – up until a late-March final deadline – Dale are now bound by transfer windows again and their first Deadline Day in three years was a tricky one in which to do business given they also had a game to play.

Nevertheless, they still snuck two new signings through the door before the window slammed shut – winger Glenn Middleton joined from Doncaster Rovers while their final loan spot went to Brighton full-back Charlie Tasker, with both introduced to the Crown Oil Arena crowd before Tuesday’s win over Shrewsbury Town.
