Things are looking up for Ian Watson at Rochdale – but he is not without problems.
Three wins from four games in September has got their League Two campaign off the ground, and their run is made more impressive by the fact the squad continues to be beset by injuries.
And in one area in particular, Watson is scratching around for options ahead of Swindon Town’s visit to Spotland on Saturday.
Dan Moss looked to be making the left-back spot his own having arguably been Dale’s player of the season so far, but he was conspicuous by his absence for Saturday’s win at Fleetwood Town, after which Watson confirmed he had suffered the dreaded ACL injury that will end his season.
